One of the cult pubs in the Smolyan region is the tavern “Aida” in the village of Smolyan. The tavern is located in the center of the village, directly opposite the new playground of the village and the gas station. There are already many places to stay and eat in the village, but Aida Tavern remains one of the preferred establishments, both for its pleasant atmosphere and good cuisine.
The menu offers mostly dishes from the Bulgarian national cuisine, with an emphasis on Rhodope specialties, especially those from the Ardino upper reaches.
If you want to try the local specialties, we recommend the baked beans and the parenik – kachamak with veal.
The tavern has a nice patio and although there is no children’s playground, there is still plenty of room for the kids if they get bored at your place. There is also a wicker one-arm swing in the courtyard where you can rock the little ones, and why not put them to sleep 🙂
The waiters are friendly, but do be aware that you may have to wait quite a while, especially if you order some of the Rhodope specialties that require more time to prepare, so if you are in a hurry, or the kids are hungry, ask the waiters when making your choice.
