The red rock is a huge rhyolite block over 100 meters high. The origin of its name is also tied to many legends, but it is most logical to assume that in the morning, at sunrise, the sun dyes it red. A marked hiking trail leads to the rock. Herds of wild goats can often be found grazing peacefully on the inaccessible mountain slopes in the Red Rock area. The view from the top towards Smolyan is worth it.
It is advisable to follow the marked trail and do not deviate from it. Jumping over fences and railings is not recommended due to the danger of falling and injury.
