The area near the summit is extremely attractive in all seasons and offers a variety of opportunities for hiking, caving and skiing. Nearby is the peak Shirokolashki Snizhnik (2 188 m) – the second highest in the Rhodopes, also called Orpheus, as well as the cave “Lednitsa”, and at the foot of Perelik are the villages of Gela, Solishta, Stickal and Shiroka Luka. Carpets of fragrant flowers and herbs, mushrooms and wild berries are abundant here.
