The hiking trail to the source of Arda is a great idea for a walk when you are in the area of Mogilitsa or Arda.
The longest Rhodope river, it flows from the foot of Ardin peak (1730m) and just a few meters from the border with Greece. There is a marked hiking trail to the place, which is extremely panoramic and passes through vast meadows, from which views of the village of Gorna Arda, Bilyantsi, Mount Kom, Mount Golyam Perelik and others can be seen.
Located at an altitude of 1470 metres above sea level, the spring has a relatively constant flow and a water temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.
The place is ideal for picnic and rest. A beautiful forest meadow, surrounded on all sides by forest, separate places for fire lighting, besetti and shelter.
For those wishing to continue with the hike there is a marked trail to Ardin Peak.
Ardin Peak has a height of 1730 meters and the Bulgarian-Greek border passes through it.
The view from it is towards both the Bulgarian and the Greek part of the Rhodopes.
