The Nevyastata eco-trail is located in the Southern Rhodopes, near the town of Smolyan. It starts a few meters from the road itself, and there is a suitable parking lot. Most of the eco-trail is gentle, suitable for children and older people, there are only a few places with steeper sections for a short distance.
The walk along the eco-trail includes a playground with benches and a table with a view of the tower of Mount Snezhanka, a gazebo for a place to relax, a swing for the children, and shortly after you reach the panoramic playground itself at the end of the trail, which offers wonderful views over the town of Smolyan.
There you can also see a metal rope, which – if there is an instructor – you can descend to the neighbouring hill for a dose of adrenaline and unforgettable experiences.
The eco-trail is built above the town of Smolyan, in the Southern Rhodopes, it is extremely quiet and pleasant, full of all kinds of plants and many small animals, and there are signs with information about them on the trail itself. The trail is about 1 kilometer long, and is suitable for the whole family. An excellent time to visit is in the summer as there is shade and it is cool.
It is a great idea for a walk as it is easy to traverse and a good idea for a family walk. The route is well laid out, offering railings, viewing platforms, gazebos, benches and more. At the end of the eco trail, there is a playground and a metal rope – alpine trolley, where you can descend if there is an instructor.
On the eco trail, there is also a climbing area via ferrata, these are metal divisions placed in the rocks so you can climb on them. It is located just before the end of the trail, next to one of the gazebos.
The trail was declared a natural landmark in 1987.
