The architectural ensemble “Hadji houses”, known as the Konaka of the village of Bukata attracts many tourists to the area. It is no less interesting than the Agushe Konaci in Mogilitsa. The village of Bukata is located a kilometer from Mogilitsa and 25 km from Smolyan. There are few, mostly elderly people left in the village, who willingly tell tourists about the history of the konak.
The building now houses the village hall. The beautiful wooden ceilings, an ancient bread oven, together with ploughing and harvesting tools, sowing machines, threshers, a flour mill have been preserved. Guests of the village can see the process of wool processing with the tools – dharats, hurka , spindles and looms. The exhibits are operational and tourists can test their weaving skills and knead bread themselves.
